It’s official: we’ve just learned that Epson will have to appear before the Nanterre Criminal Court on July 2, 2026, on charges of planned obsolescence and deceptive business practices.
Since 2017, at HOP, we have been investigating practices in the printer industry: premature breakdowns, incompatible cartridges, impossible repairs, excessive costs…
After nine years of investigation, planned obsolescence will be tried in criminal court for the first time in France and worldwide.
But facing a multinational corporation with immense resources, we now face another challenge: securing the resources to see this battle through to the end.
30 days to raise €30,000
The coming weeks will be decisive.
Lawyers, legal analysis, investigations, case management: waging a legal battle of this magnitude comes at a cost.
Are we going to miss out on this historic trial because we lack sufficient funds?
I refuse to accept that.
After 9 years of fighting, we must see this through to the end.
The countdown has begun. Every donation counts to help HOP bring this battle to court.
Thank you so much for your support,

Laetitia Vasseur
CEO and Co-Founder of HOP
